Here Odyssey is speaking, where they are on a island and there was a giant who captured them and lock them into his cave. The giant (Kyklops) then ate two men, then he ate two more men for breakfast, and again he ate two more men. Odyssey is now set to defeat the giant by swaying him in drinking sweet wine. Odyssey succeeded as he tricked Odyssey into drinking the wine and also tricked him by telling Kyklops that his name is Nohbdy. Odyssey along with his men pierce Kyklops eye with a wood and as he stubble and then remove the rock, he an his men ran to their ship. Kylops is mad as he has been tricked by Odyssey as was stated by one of the gods. Kyklops prayed in anger that Odyssey should never return home. Zeus later refuses Odyssey offering because he had done wrong to Kyklops. Now Odyssey and his crew are on Aiolia Island and was first welcome but later they called him a curse and sent him away. Now they are on a different island, the land of Aiaia. In the land of Aiaia was the witch Kirke, who at first fetch up all Odyssey men into swines, but one return to tell him of what had happen to his men. Eurylokhos told Odyssey about what had happen but Odysssey wanted to go see for himself. As Odyssey draws near to Kirke hut, Hermes, a little boy told him of what to expect of the witch and how to prevent it from happening to him. As Odyssey does as he was told, the witch was astonish of how a mortal person could do such thing as to not fall for here poison. Odyssey then let the witch swear to him after which she releases his men more younger and taller than they were. Odyssey then went to get the other men so that they could come and settle but Eurylokhos refuses but later went. One year passed as Odyssey as his men stayed with Kirke, then later remind of her oath she took when they first met. Kirke told Odyssey to go to the land of death and pale of persephone for the gods to tell him of what is going to happen. There Odyssey met all the dead he had known an even all the ancestors. One of his soliders (Elpenor) had died without him knowing back at the Kirke's places and he told Odssey of his incident. The price of Thebes then told Odyssey of his past and future. Odyssey and his mother talked as well, there Odyssey learnt that his mother as killed herself.in the nest chapter Odyssey has now departed from Kirke after determining to follow the orders given to him but as time pass and he went to some of them, Odyssey men were now defensive and wanted to rest. Odyssey decides to rest and there came trouble from his men as the gods got angry at them for touching there calves and animals. They are thrown overboard of the ship and now Odyssey is left by himself. Here Odyssey went back to the witch and here he is told what he should do. Later, Odyssey is home but does not know it and there he is met by Athena who now told him of where he is and what he should now do. Odyssey in his arrogance did not believe Athena and first but later come to his sense. After talking with Athena they departed seperate ways where he later met a good servant who took him in and told him of many things of himself but he knew not that he was talking to Odyssey his king. Later Athena went to talk with Telemakhos to return home and there now the two men are in the same hut not realizing at first of who they both were.
In some parts of these chapters I am still confuse and wondering what is going on but now I see that there were gods that were against Odyssey's return but Athena is for him. There is still the part where I think Odyssey is telling is story about his years of despair but who is he telling the story to.

Odyssey
This book is really hard to follow. However the details are somewhat similar to that if Antigone. There's young man Telemakhos who's father Odyseey left for war and have not return home yet is troubled by what is happening at his home. The Suitor in my opinion are very disrepectful to Telemakhos as he speaks to them, telling them to leave. He cannot get them out of his house. Now Telemakhos has a visitor who seem to me that she is not a real god, because she disguised herself as someone else (Mentor). I saw this Athena being someone else, as a way for the son to be lost or get killed annd maybe the marriage of the mother should take place. Like Kreon in Antigone that waited until its to too late to release Antigone as he had refuse to listen, thats the way how I feel that Telemakhos is going to end up. The reason is this, Telemakhos went to Lord Nestor to get information about in father and Nestor is basically saying the same to him and some of the Suitors and the maid lady Eurykleia but he refuse to listen. As book four is showing also that just like Aegisthus, Telemakhos is going to go through the same situation when he returns to fine that his house is taken our by Suitors and his mother is marry off. The unwanted suitors are plotting against Telemakhos because he did not listen. Odyssey is alive and was with another woman and now leaving to Poseidon and encounter danger. later was rescue by Ino and Athena which later disguise herself to talk a lady Nausicaa into falling in love with Odyssey. This is like days of our lives, Odyssey has a wife already waiting for him why would the gods let him have so many other wives as he travels. Athena disguise herself again and leads Odyssey inside the kings palace where they talked and later arrange marriage for him and their daughter. I think the gods are punishing Odyssey and allowing him to go through these hardship for punishment. Now Broadsea insults Odyssey in a game in which he later has to reveal himself. I am still in confusion because I am not sure if the godds are with Odyssey or against him.
What is a hero? An hero is a person who as done something heroic for a great cause. not for fame or fortune or anything of such likeness. it could be help or save lives or anything with a purpose.

Antigone
Antigone, started out talking in the play with her sister Ismene about burying her brother Polyneices because King Kreon refuses for him to have a proper burial. Ismene inform Antigone of the punishment following disobeying Kreon orders but Antigone cared less. Antigone in her desire to honor her brother Polyneices with a proper burial, went ahead and did it. First, Kreon refused to bury Polyneices because of the war between both brothers, deciding who should be King after their father. Because both sons died in the battle for kingship, Kreon was made King. Kreon liked Eteokles more because he was for him( Kreon) than against him. After the decree that Kreon has made and that Antigone has broken, there came the Sentry to explain what had happen based on the law he had made. First the Sentry was not aware of who had buried Polyneices but after reporting to the King and leaving in despair swearing he would never return, he later caught Antigone in the act, as they had remove the duct from Polyneices before. Antigone was then brought to the King and most if not all was surprise and her but her words of reason for why she did it was that of wisdom to many as well as my self. Kreon was very upset has to how he could have raise such a person in his house but Antigone inform him that many peoople have been talking in disagreeances to his laws or things that he says. Later Ismene appear to take blame as well for the punishment but Antigone told Kreon she had nothing to do with it. Kreon son Haimon was the bridegroom to Antigone and on his behave he beg his father to reconsider the punishment for once. Kreon disobeys and went on with his plan. Antigone talk to the people and their gods as she exist to her cave of punishment. Later came the Prophet Teirresias to inform Kreon of what's going to happen to Thebes if he does not reconsider the punishment for the woman. Kreon refuses at first but as the leader of the chorus Koryphaisos informed him that the Prophet Teirresias has never been wrong, Kreon hurries to try and free Antigone. Time is passing as the sun is drawing closer. Antigone commits suicide. Later Haimon when saw Antigone is bride hanging, he tries to fight with his father, but ends up killing himself with a dogger. Kreon is now in grief as he was too late. The messenger came in to tell Queen Eurydice what had happen. In hearing this, Eurydice commit suicide as well and Kreon was left alone to grieve. With his loneliness and grieve he was to be remove or doom for what he had done.
The play was interesting. the taught of who is wise and who is foolish was approached in a different way. Kreon during his act talked positively with his son, as well as Haimon response to his father was that of wisdom. Antigone before the King was also words of wisdom as to why she did the crime. Later Kreon seem to be the on without wisdom.
Like to play Macbeth there are similarities. Their were men who went to war and mee the three witches who prohecies things. Lady Macbeth help to commit the crime with her husband and could not with stand her punishment of illusions and therefore comiit suicide. Overall was a great play
